The Bronx Tour
The Bronx tour is a new tour for tourists who want to see more of Manhattan while at the same time escaping the busy city. On this tour you will be able to see more than The Bronx alone; you’ll see the Upper East Side, Upper West Side and Harlem. The guide will tell you all about the history of these places, including the notorious ‘70s and of course the present.

Learning about the New York Boroughs
When you get on the bus you can find a place to sit down and take off your coat. For the first hour of the tour, the bus will not stop and so you can just sit and listen to the guide in English and French. The bus will drive to the Upper East Side and Harlem and then head towards The Bronx. The guide is very knowledgeable of all of the boroughs, so you will surely learn a lot.
Once in The Bronx, you will pass by an Art Deco style neighbourhood. You will continue on towards some of the richer neighbourhoods and will probably be amazed by the houses. The first stop is a small but beautiful park that overlooks the Hudson River. Here you can make use of the restrooms and get a bite to eat or something to drink.
The Little Italy of The Bronx
You’ll then head on to the Little Italy of The Bronx where you will be able to get out for about an hour to explore. Like in Manhattan, Little Italy is a little neighbourhood where mostly Italians live. In Manhattan, Little Italy is extremely touristic, but this is certainly not the case in The Bronx! There are hardly any tourists but there are a dozen small Italian boutiques and coffee shops. It all looks and feels extremely authentic. Personally, I enjoyed visiting the (small) covered market. Here you can enjoy a great cup of Espresso.
After the stop, you’ll head down to the area in The Bronx which has given the neighbourhood its bad reputation – Camp Apache – in South Bronx. In the ‘70s, this area was seen as one of the most dangerous in the world because of the number of murders, drug abuse and arson. You’ll be able to see what has now become of the area.
On the way back you’ll make a short stop at the Yankee Stadium to snap a picture of the home of the New York Yankees, after which you’ll head back, passing the Upper West Side, before arriving at where the tour started.

After purchasing, you will receive a voucher that you can print out and use as your ticket for the tour. You will need to register with the guide on the first floor (you can ring the doorbell of the first floor if the door is not open).
