Apps like Uber work pretty much the same in New York as they do everywhere else. There are a few different ride-share options in New York, including Revel and Lyft.

It’s a convenient way to travel around the city. You can order a car via Revel, Lyft or Uber, and you will be matched with a driver. You can see exactly where they are and how many minutes away the car is from you. And the best thing is that you can see in advance how much the ride will cost, unlike with a yellow cab.

You don’t have to worry about a thing: just hop in and you’ll be taken to your destination. In the meantime, you can see the estimated arrival time and the route the driver will take in the app. Everything is recorded in the app, which gives you peace of mind.

There are always several options for travelling from the airport to Manhattan, and ride sharing is one of them. Let me explain why I think it is or isn’t a good idea:

Can I take an Uber from JFK Airport?

One option is to take a ride share, such as Uber, Revel or Lyft, from JFK Airport to Manhattan. However, keep in mind that these options may be more expensive than a yellow cab. This is because taxis have a fixed price and the prices of ride share options can fluctuate according to supply and demand.

Can I take an Uber from Newark Airport?

When you arrive at Newark Airport, you can take an Uber, Revel or Lyft to the city. Because Newark Airport is located in the state of New Jersey, there is no fixed taxi fare. Taxis here run on the meter, making it difficult to know in advance how much your ride will cost. With ride shares, you know what you will pay before your trip begins.

Can I take an Uber from LaGuardia Airport?

As with the other two airports, you can also book a ride from LaGuardia Airport via Lyft, Uber or Revel.
