Difference between New York Sightseeing Flex Pass and Sightseeing Day Pass
What is the difference between the New York Sightseeing Flex Pass and the Sightseeing Day Pass? Both are good discount passes for New York, but they are used in different ways. The Sightseeing Flex Pass is valid for a specific number of attractions, while the Sightseeing Day Pass is valid for a limited number of days. It’s always a good idea to go for a discount pass, rather than buy separate tickets for everything: it is better value, easier and quicker. One of these passes is all you need, you won’t have to pay anything extra while in New York!
Please note: The Sightseeing Pass has unfortunately been discontinued due to financial difficulties. If you have recently purchased a Sightseeing Pass, please contact me at eric@newyork.com.au.
A good alternative for the Flex Pass is the Explorer Pass.
A good alternative for the Day Pass is the New York Pass.

Which pass should I choose?
If you are in New York for a few days and you want to visit a few sights a day, the Sightseeing Flex Pass will probably be the best choice for you. The Flex Pass allows you to choose which attractions you want to visit each day. You can buy a pass for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 or 12 attractions. This pass is valid for 60 days after using it for the first time. In most cases, you don’t need to (and you often can’t) make reservations to visit attractions; when you are in New York you can just decide then and there exactly what you want to visit. This gives you maximum flexibility!
If you are planning on seeing and doing as much as possible, the Day Pass is a better option. You can buy the Day Pass for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 10 consecutive days. You can visit an unlimited number of sights on these days and you can choose from a list of more than 105 sights and tours.
The Flex Pass and the Day Pass are offered by the same company, which means you can visit mostly the same attractions and do mostly the same tours with both.

Sightseeing Economy Pass
The New York Sightseeing Pass also offers an ‘Economy Pass’ option. This is a cheaper version of the Sightseeing Pass with fewer attractions included in your list of choices.
