Alexander Hamilton

Alexander Hamilton was born in 1755 on Nevis, one of the Caribbean islands. In his teens, he came to New York and became an aide in commanding the military. After the war, Hamilton was elected to the Congress of the Confederacy. He further developed into a successful statesman with the help of Vice President Burr. Hamilton could count on the support of President Washington, while Jefferson and Madison were his main opponents. All of these men are considered the Founding Fathers who shaped the United States into what we know today.

Hamilton on Broadway

You can discover Hamilton’s story not only on the streets of New York but also on Broadway. The musical is very innovative because of the choice of music; the story is almost completely rapped and sung. Also, the historically white characters are played by Black and Latin American actors.
