Then join this tour, dress-up in your best 60’s attire and strut around Madison Avenue discussing your favourite show with other enthusiasts. And don’t forget to toast in Peggy’s or Don’s style, with a dirty Martini in hand!
Mad Men Afternoon Tour
Join the Mad Men afternoon tour and put on your favourite full-skirted polka dots frock or three-piece striped suit with a colourful tie and meet your guide at The Pierre Hotel. You’ll walk around Madison Avenue and learn about some of the most famous ad agencies of the 60’s. You’ll see the real locations of the Sterling Cooper and Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce offices, or the hotel that Don Draper stayed at after his divorce (the Roosevelt Hotel). The guide has an iPad where you can watch the clips and share your knowledge with the group, and there will be a funny trivia too. The last stop is at the Grand Central Oyster Bar, featured a few times in Mad Men and New York’s most famous oyster establishment. A Tom Collins or Shirley Temple is included in the price, the oysters are on you if you want to have it all!
Mad Men Evening Tour
The Mad Men Evening Tour is not your average tour, it’s about spending a night in New York like Roger or Joan would have. So don’t forget your very best 60’s outfit and be prepared to spend 3 hours socialising and drinking with other fans in real Mad Men’s style! The night includes a walk around Madison Avenue, a lot of information about the advertising industry and three cocktails in some of New York’s most legendary watering holes. The guide will also show you the exact scene that takes place at each stop (PJ Clarkes and the famous “Choo Choo Cha Cha”, Grand Central, Oyster Bar etc.) and you will receive a pack of vintage style photographs of the evening to never forget the experience!
Mad Men was all about the glamorous 60’s of New York: powerful men and women in stylish clothing doing business in the most exclusive places. The AMC show was filmed in LA, but most of the places really existed and were recreated exactly like in New York, so the feeling of being there watching the clips with other Mad Men fans is exciting! Both the afternoon and the evening tours include a walk around Madison Avenue, visiting eight important locations, revealing some show secrets and fancy cocktails. The Old-Fashioned will taste like never before!
